Wilbur Arlen Basham

     Mr. Wilbur Arlen Basham, age 77, of Bedford, KY, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.  Wilbur was born May 25, 1944, the son of Kenneth and Nellie Catherine (Berry) Basham.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

     Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents; and two aunts, Frances Basham and Edna Cundiff.  He is survived by two children, Kevin Basham and Michelle Hise; two sisters, Jean Embrey and Ruth Ann Whelan and her husband, Sam; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

      A celebration of Wilbur’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Bridge officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday.
