William Joseph "Billy" Benock

     Mr. William J. “Billy” Benock, age 56, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his residence.  Billy was born May 19, 1967, the son of Robert William “Bob” and Virginia Sue Benock, who both preceded him in death.  He loved to raise a garden and work on cars.  He loved to just “fix” things.  Billy had a love for kids and sports.  He avidly followed the Meade County Greenwave, Kentucky Wildcats, and Cincinnati Bengals.

     Billy is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Skaggs Benock; three sons, Chris, Nicholas, and Steven Benock; three step children, Alex Skaggs, Cheyenne Zelch and Sarah Warman; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Susan Edwards and her husband, Mike, Barbara Troutman and her husband, Tim, and Kathy Knott and her husband, Billy; his brother, Bruce Benock; his niece and several nephews.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Deacon Mike jones officiating.  Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, or to the American Cancer Society.
