William A. “Bill” Brown, age 68, of Brandenburg, died on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in Milton, Florida, where he was being cared for by his loving brother, Joe. He died peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born March 31, 1953, to the late Delva and Dorothy Brown. After graduation from high school in 1971, he joined the U.S. Navy. He worked several jobs on Fort Knox, where he eventually retired. But his passion in life was music. He loved to play guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, James Brown.
He is survived by two children, Jessica Brown Roberts (Kelly) of Guston, and Delva W. Brown (Kimberly) of Lucedale, Mississippi, five grandchildren, Joshua Brown, Landon Roberts, Lucas Roberts, Alexander (Alexandra) Chandler of London, England, and Jonathan Chandler, of Mobile, Alabama, five siblings, Joe Mack Brown (Tammy) of Milton, Florida, Nancy Andrake of Brandenburg, Linda Velasquez of Scottsville, Emma Arnold of Brandenburg, and Delma Thomas (Cecil), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Hager Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Bridge officiating. Burial will follow at the Marve Bennett Cemetery in Battletown.
Visitation will be at Hager Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
