Mr. Zebedee Vance Burgess, age 79, of Louisville, KY, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, at his residence. Mr. Burgess retired from Ford Motor Company after 34 years of service; he was a 57 year member of the Masonic Lodge; and a member of the York Rite. Vance always stayed busy, running the sound systems for Corydon Jamboree for several years and attending the Meade County Senior Citizens on a weekly basis. Vance also worked as a security guard for Caritas Medical Center. He was a member of Ashby Lane Baptist Church, and also attended Landmark Baptist Church.
Mr. Burgess is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Warren Burgess; two sons, Randall Burgess and Paul Burgess; two grandchildren, Randall, Jr. and Paula; a great grandson, Carter; a brother George Burgess and his wife, Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Burgess will be privately held for his loving family. Mr. Burgess’ funeral service will be available for viewing on our Hager Funeral Home Facebook page.
