Charles Rodney "Rod Bearing" Embrey

Mr. Charles Rodney “Rod Bearing” Embrey, age 67, of Battletown, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Embrey was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth W. “Buck” and Corrine Carver Embrey; and a brother, Kenneth Embrey.  He is survived by his fiancée, Alice Barley; three children, Kelly (Cynthia) Embrey, Catawba, NC, Kim (Stewart) Wells, Baltimore, MD and Melissa Popham, Payneville, KY; two brothers, Rick (Vicki) Embrey, Ekron, KY, Jerry (Jean) Embrey, Battletown, KY; two sisters, Gail (Ron) Biddle, Payneville, KY, Jeanne (Steve)Powell, Hardinsburg, KY; Eleven grandchildren; and Six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Marve Bennett Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
