Garry Lynn Guynes

Mr. Garry Lynn Guynes, age 62, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Hosparus In-patient unit of the Norton Medical Pavilion in Louisville, KY.  Garry loved camping and boating on the lake; was a member of the Bush Pool League; and was an avid University of Louisville Cardinal fan.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Guynes and Marilyn Joyce Wilson Hopewell; and his grandmother, Mattie Lee Guynes.  He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Waddle Guynes; two children, Carrie Renee Guynes and Eric Michael Guynes, both of Brandenburg, KY; three grandsons, twins Brendan and Jaden Willis and Ashton Willis; his twin brother, Larry Glenn Guynes, Brandenburg, KY; his sister, Pamela JoAnn Guynes, Valley Station, KY; and three nieces, Crystal Hart, Christina Bowman and Amber Salesman.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Janice Richard officiating.  Burial will follow at 5:00 PM EDT, at Cherry Springs Cemetery in Edmonson County, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1-8 PM on Friday and from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Kentucky Brain Injury Program.
