Steven Joseph Simpson, Jr

Mr. Steven Joseph Simpson, Jr., age 42, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Louisville, KY, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision. Steven was a tow truck operator for many years, a job that he truly loved; and was also a volunteer coach for the Brandenburg Special Olympics.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Steve Simpson, Sr.; his grandparents, Betty and Alan Finch and Robert Wells; and a nephew, Cameron Mixon. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammie Ann Howard Simpson; three children, Traci (Chris) Beck, Rineyville, KY, Robert Simpson, and Derrick (Hayley) Simpson, both of Ekron, KY; his mother, Bonnie (Eugene) Grigsby; two sisters, Michelle (Jason) Cox, Victoria (John Whelan) Simpson; 6 grandchildren, Ashlynn, Aubrey and Ainsley Beck, Trinity and Branson Simpson, and Alana Imlay; a grandchild on the way, Baby Simpson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon - 9 PM on Friday, and after 10:00 AM on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
